In addition to the closeup pics, which look really cool honestly, I thought I would post some of my in progress pics of my latest portrait painting of Queen Elizabeth II. Basically, I start with the background, I wanted to keep the back on this one darker and I loved the greenish blue to go with her eyes so that is what I did. The next phase is to block out the shapes of her face and hair, and from there, I slowly work on the detail and try to layer in some of the colors I would like to show through.
I am still very happy with the way this one turned out so take a look at the pics and let me know what you think.
