This new original painting is acrylic paint with a touch of white pen for some of the highlights.

I found this decanter at a local antique shop in downtown Frederick (like a lot of my decanters actually) for like $45 and I just loved the cross-hatched glass pattern as well as the glass globe top, which just hit the light incredibly when I saw it at the shop! I would also say this decanter is more of a vintage-style decanter, which I guess most of the decanters I'm drawn to are.
the whiskey inside this decanter is a classic Eagle Rare by Buffalo Trace. I would say that Eagle Rare is just perfectly smooth all the way through and maybe the smoothest tasting whiskey I have tried.....just like no burn on that and could sip it all night. I know Eagle Rare has a huge fan based and is really sought after/hard to find but, if I'm being honest, it's not my fave whiskey of all time. As much as I really enjoy it, it tends to be just a little boring for me in terms of it's overall taste and complexity. Hot take I know haha!
I think this painting is either the third or fourth decanter that I have painted in this series and, as I continue through this series, I noticed that I really still love the way the light plays on the glass and just the overall look of these. I really like the way these bring out a vintage vibe overall. Sometimes, I'm a little worried that I may get bored with the colors because whiskeys are generally brown but I think there are enough varieties to keep it fresh. Also, there is always a surprising amount of color that I can play with on some glass sections. For example, if you look closely at the top and around the next of the decanter, there are some little hints of color that I could add to be a little more playful with. I hope you enjoy!
I still need a photo of the framed original but here are photos of the art prints which are 10x12in. My printer is local and they do such a nice job on these...I'm really happy with the quality of the prints but I definitely wish I could be able to sell these a little cheaper overall, so maybe I will mess with some different styles/sizes in the future to bring costs down.
